day one of landmark

although it’s a pretty exhausting experience, i am getting a second wind to express my first impressions before it’s lost in a post processed bin. generally, many of the concepts are pretty fimilar to me but the context has been modifified to be more easily experience first hand. i certainly appreaciate the ‘break through’ aspect as it very much parallels the experiantial wisdom of buddhism. ulimately, that’s the real power of the workshop is for people to really experience the deconstructions of their stories and how it limits their present moment. the past does not equal the […]

the precious of less and even more so, nothingness

the wonderful show that is six feet under gets under my skin again. in a good way of course because somehow it seems too fimilar with my own life. i seem to be able to identitify with all the characters on some level. it’s the sort of metaphysical humor that particularly jingles my tinkerbells. in particular, tonight’s episode in reference to ‘the plan’ education workshop that the mother takes and she seemingly becomes quite more empowered by the workshop. of course the joke is that none of her kids appreciate her empowerment and she is left frustrated. giving more

i would confess for the last 6 to 9 months, i haven’t given much monetary donations in terms of street nor to non profits. i know i am on some great mailing list where non profits hit me up for money every week so it was rather almost shocking that i fork over $250 in less in 15 mins. maybe i had been feeling guilty for some time (or not as compassionate as i like to be) and i just needed a kick in the butt by a young attractive lady disturbing my dinner to get me […]

the power of a sexy teacher

so i did something today that under normal circumstances, i should be proud of but given a subversion of the movitation, i am left to laughing at my silly ways. yet again, i attend a yoga class because i think the yoga teacher is the greatest thing since fried rice. not only does she perform insane acts of yoga but she is ultra cool in a all too approachable way. my yoga buddy and i joke about when we get to see her again (t minus 8 hours) and our yoga is getting progressive better. it’s not […]

this i believe

i was listening to npr this morning in my half waken state, a new habit that i’ve recently formed in the past year (thanks to my roommate), and the program was entitled ‘this i believe’. in short, it’s a reading of one’s philosophy within a span about 3 mins, which does seem quite about right. anymore and it would be challenaging to follow and many of us tend to over articulate. today’s author was particularly interesting in that she had apparently written the same type of eassy 50 years ago when she 16 years old. so, it […]
