RV research

since i’ve put the deposit down my the rv, still to be named but i got the domain already, i’ve been day dreaming about the RV lifestyle now and then. i almost can’t believe i pull the trigger on it but i think it’s the right choice over buying a house for me. i think about how much i love the great outdoors with all the physical things i enjoy doing and how much i love to get out of the city and it all makes sense that it would come to fruition. in some regard, i […]

writings from india

thoughts on quiet, on plane
started reading quiet by susan cain on my way to amsteram. i hadn’t thought much about the manner of if i was an introvert or ambivert but it’s more obvious after reading a few chapters. in the context of my own inquiry into the type of leader i wanted to be, it has also provided me with reassurance that i am taking the approraite path into leadership development. that is to say, i should continue to listen to my intutiuon yet figure out out to ‘stretch’ beyond my natural limits. it would seem […]

darjeeling

i hadn’t plan on going to darjeeling originally. as much as i love tea, it wasn’t all that exciting for me to see a tea farm. to be honest, i feel that way most of the trip. Combine that moivation with wanting to take a nice long break from orange, it was sufficient to push me over the edge to check india of my list. it’s a terrible motivation to say the least […]

Goa

by the time i got to goa, i was very much ready to just sit on the beach and do nothing. and that’s pretty much what i did. finished reading a bunch of books, ran on the beach, got a ok massage and wrote a bunch more in my journal. goa reminded me with vietnam a bit. very tropical and packed with tourist (esp Russians).

Sikkim

Sikkim is in the north east corner of india and it would probably taken at least 3 days to travel by train/bus. I decided to fly into sikkim from delhi and i was glad i did. the closest airport city to sikkim was only about 50 miles away but it took close to 5 hours by jeep. geographically sikkim isn’t that large in square miles but because it’s all in the hills/mountains, it took some serious mountain driving on dirt roads to get some major area to another. I hadn’t taken any trips on shared jeeps up […]
