i think it’s always been within me to have a procivility towards abstraction but it’s been more evident in my recent musing. it is the texturual formations that intrigue me because the cultural reference isn’t so obvious. i recall reading one of robert heinlien sci-fic books many years ago and something he wrote struck me very strongly. it’s pretty straight forward concept the expression of it in such an pleasing matter made it stuck with me. in essence, without mystery there is no room for imagination; the interplay between the artist and the viewer. good art isn’t so heavy handied. robert hielien’s quote had nothing to do with art but they are in the same realm, that is of the female kind.
