i had to shoot a wedding down in LA this july 4th weekend. it was a real nice mix of pleasure and business. i wasnt too inspired to take that many photos during the trip but i am entertained by the photos that i did squeeze out. i was a little bit inspired by an exbihit by Edward Weston to think more of my own visual style and musings. i particularly like his focus on the universality of forms in everyday objects and the most studied object in art, the female form. of the great american photographers at that time, i definitely think he would be more of my favorite. anyway, i am beginning to feel the need to educate myself more on what’s been done and by who in the world of art photography. sometimes i rather stay naive about the subject matter as to not dilute my own vision but i am less concern with that now.
