so i am interviewing people for our director of business development position and it’s actually more weird to be on the other side of the table. i feel like we end up trying to sell ourselves versus finding out more about the candidate. i guess it’s sorta of necessary to sell the concept of the company because the position is mostly equity. regardless, i think people are genearlly impressed by end the of the converstation. in this tough economy people are concerned with making rent so an equity position is not as appealing as the good old days. so much has change since the dot com bomb but i definitely that the bomb was a very positive thing in terms of starting a business afterwards. we’ve learned a lot and priorities are so more evident in terms of what we need to do. i think the most difficult thing for me to contain my excitement and balance life and “work”. everything blurs together so easily because i just roll out of bed and i am working. i got out drinking and i am “working”. anyway, i hope we find a decent person to fill this position because it’s pretty critical to our master plan of world domination.
