_the exhausted painter
i hung out one of the only true artists that i know in the city. we’re were christening his new work studio all day and it was real nice to see the return of the artists into an reasonable affordable living space. TJ had been painting for over 20 years and although i am pretty uneducated in painting, i identify with his vision and subjects. even more inspiring is that he’s still doing it for such a long time and hasn’t thrown in the towel yet. painting is his meditation.
the irony was that the space he was moving into used to be a dot com and it had all these ethernet wires (like the one in the bathroom) so it’s pretty funny to see the place all networked for world domination. i can barely wait until we look for out own “corporate” office. it’s going to be wired from wall to wall with music and art.
