got to exercise my power of the executive chair and played hooky without feeling any guilt. yeah, it’s a good start when i play that card. had interesting conversations and revisited old grounds for the first time with the first daughter. i need more days like this. being outside, relaxing, chatting, being present, playing with the sidekick, soaking in the fall like warmth, finishing it all off with most excellent meal in the mission with 5 different kind of oysters. jackpot.

my dad loves kids in general. i got some of his love for kids in me as well but probably not at his level. in the past 10 years since i’ve reestablished relations with my dad, i have grown to respect him more.
