i did my first interior photo shoot today and although it was sorta boring, i found myself enjoying the boring process. after last week’s crazy wedding, i like boring shoots where i can actually have time to experiment. and so i played around a little bit with a new lens, a tilt shift type, that will invariably be my favorite for next foresesable future. i finally understood why large format photographers love their camera so much. being able to totally control your perspective with tilting and shifting is freaking cool as hell. anyway, the place i was shooting was straight out of the 80s and it was cheese city. but with even simple perspective control, you can achieve an artsy feel to the cheese! how wonderful to make cheese look so yummy. i can’t wait to play with the lens on people now.

these pictures are crazy. they look like pictures you took of a model, not real life-size. that new lens is nuts. it looks like pictures of a set for toys. barbie probably couldn’t even comfortably fit in that bathtub.
