i felt like i just step into a landmine of spiritual knowledge. reading ‘shaman, healer, sage’ by aberto villodo has been one of the great reads of the past number of years. in essence much of it is so fimilar to me but at the same time reframe in a way that allows my knowledge to transcend my own path. I don’t think the book will really into me into shamamism at all but i am definitely interested in taking a vew courses with this author. much in the way of tibetan buddhism, the shaman practices are pretty systemic and throughly mapped out. It’s probably true for much of the spiritual traditions out there but it’s been a while since had last ventured out from the world of buddhism. i can imagaine if i went back to all the older books that i have read that i would find a new level of apprecation towards them. I guess it’s that teaching that states when one has advance so much in the practices that the first practices are again the new pinnacle of practice. The most interesting introduction for me from this book is about the chakas and all it’s bodily & spiritual manifestations. I’ve definitely come across it before but it’s the first time that i understand on a much deeper level. in a nutshell, i think the understand of the chaka system allows us to understand where we are at in the evoluationary path and how we begin to heal ourselve within that particular chaka.

I also had the fortaunate experience of getting my ass kicked big time in yoga yesterday as well. The ass kicking philosophizing teacher imparted to me the direct experience of block chakas. Somtimes i wonder how some people can do yoga without understaing the underlying principles behind it. i guess that understanding makes the difference your committment to it.
