so, i am a week away from a making a major turning point in my life, on a path a full time enterpretneur. the past year since orange has been operation, it’s been back and forth between contracts and orange. but now, as i approach that mythical number, which is only significant because i want it to be significant, it’s time to reconcile my work ethnics and my personal ethnics.
although fimilar with numerous buddhist texts, i decided to pick up “the diamond cutter” from the public libaray. it’s a translation of the tibetean diamond sutra teachings as well as application of those teachings within a business environment. i’ve only gone through the first sevearl chapters and i haven’t been impress by the writing/teachings presented so far but it’s too early to tell.
i’ve completed half the book and by far, there’s too much stuff about the diamond business. still, he dissects fimilar concepts with a different knife and are are new angles to digest the meaning of the teachings. i like his metaphors of the concept of emptyness as it ties in with concepts that i’ve know by different names. luckly it’s short book but a worthy book in the context of a business environment, not real practical if you don’t already have some background.
