there isn’t much winter here in the bay area and i am usually too wimpy to wander around in the snow. still, i couldn’t resist bringing the camera long during a quick run to a coffee shop. as always. i should be doing more photography but my life would be too enjoyable if i did.
My close friend ask me to a quick passport photo for him and the lighting set up was super simple. As much as i enjoy finding and creating the light, at the end of the day it comes back to the story. I think it’s far too easy to get caught up in fancy lighting tricks and over done post production. It took me all five mins to play around with different looks for him.
Sometimes a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. This lawyer felt i mis represented him and i must say i probably did.
i asked my little friends to draw their best portrait of me and the winner would get a dollar. as it turns out, mom doesn’t pick just one winner.
