_the view from the epic run
running is natural as chasing food when we were younger. it’s in our genes to run and i have rediscovered those original genes in me. it’s funny that i never really ran that much until i moved to alameda. i have to say the environment made a considerable difference for me. just like being in a monastery. it helps to be in the kind of environment at is going to grow those types of new habits you want to form. so the shoes also play a big part in the rediscovery. prior to bare foot running style hit the nytimes best seller, i was in a love/hate relationship with running. i love running but i dreaded the sprain ankles. now, that fear is almost gone. the joy of running on the grasses and non concreate is hard to describe but definitely primordial. the only fear left is running so deep in the forest and then something bad happens and you’re bear food.
