i had dinner with an old friend tonight at this wonderful joint called firecracker. yuppie style chinese restuarnt in the mission district. it’s a great place to take a date and be proud of your heritage. anyways, at the end of the meal we got some fortune cookies and mine was a bit errie.<\/p>\n

although i have never been much of a believer in fate, in the recent years i have question my denial of such a belief system. although fate may be too strong of a word, i definitely feel that there is a tendency by which my actions have been geared towards. the most obvious example is my interested in buddhism. sometimes i think it’s just a logical progression of philosophical exploration that has lead me to deeper exploration of buddhism. but sometimes i think that my karma has steered me towards this path. even when i was young and had very little parental guidance, i had a sense of fundmental understanding of “good” vs bad. cut 24 hours later and this train of thought is totally gone.<\/p>\n
